Mushroom sandwich is one of very good option to have for morning breakfast or in evening snack.

You can toast or grill the sandwich. You can also make open or closed sandwich with mushroom filling. Alos you can use any herbs like dried thyme, rosemary or mixed herbs. If you want an Indian taste then you can use fresh herbs like coriander, basil, mint of your choice.

Mushroom Sandwich Recipe

SERVES:4

Preparation Time: 10 mins
Cooking Time: 15 mins

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 350 gms chopped button mushrooms
  • 2 Medium onion finely chopped
  • 1 tsp garlic paste
  • 1 tbsp mixed herbs
  • Salt as per taste
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper powder
  • 8-10 sliced of brown bread
METHOD:
  1. Heat the pan, add olive oil and saute onions and garlic paste till it turns onions turn translucent. 
  2. Add chopped mushrooms saute on medium flame, mushrooms will start leaving the water. Saute till all water evaporates.
  3. After the water is evaporated add mixed herbs, pepper powder and salt as per taste. 
  4. Mix well all the ingredients and your mushroom filling will be ready.
  5. If you want to toast then first put bread slices in the toaster, then spread the mushroom filling on toast.
  6. For Grill: Place the mushroom mixture on a bread slice, cover with another bread slice and put in a griller. Grill till it is crispy.
SERVE HOT!!!

Can be Served with Tomato Ketchup/Dips/ Green chutney
